group of University of Sulaimani Faculty members participate in Intensive
Training Course at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg from
September 13 till October 04 organized by Center for Iraq Studies (CIS). Eight academic faculty members of University of Sulaimani have been selected to participate at the training course:
The Intensive Course is organized by the Center for Iraq Studies (CIS). The aim of this Intensive Course is to support faculty members of Iraqi universities in integrating modern technologies in their teaching and research practices, improving their intercultural communication skills as well as giving them of opportunity to discuss issues of teaching and research with German scientists. The first part of the Intensive Training Course, from Sept. 14 – 22, includes seminar courses in modern methods of academic teaching, research and competences in intercultural communication. The second part, from Sept. 23 – 27, offers separate programs according to the pecialization of the participants. Participants from Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities will participate in an international conference on ‘The Middle East and the Islamic World in the Mirror of Humanities and Social Sciences’. For Engineers, it offers the participation to an introduction course to ‘DASYLab’, a software used for data acquisition in engineering, at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg as well as visits of the chairs and laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering of the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. In addition the CIS offers also the participation in a cultural program which will be subsequent to the two-week intensive course. |
